Dina is a native of Forest Hills Queens and raised in Queens, Forest Hills. She grew up there. She moved to Dix Hills Long Island before the close of her junior high year. She has two siblings, an older brother whose name is Gregory and a younger one called Evan. In the years between nine to 16, her first exposure to the industry was when she began modeling. Ron Stetson trained her in the techniques used by Sanford Meisner at The Neighborhood Playhouse. It took around three years. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among the actors who received such instruction. Her role was in Beverly Hills,90210 and had to relocate in Los Angeles to take the lead role. She was cast as the leading lady in Johnny Mnemonic in which she did almost every stunt herself, and established herself as a skilled actor. Through the agents of Matt LeBlanc that she was successful in securing a regular role on Friends.
